In the 1900’s the monkey was born
A corner of Ireland from his family torn
He was raised with a criminal mind
He liked to fight every goddamn night
One day a boxer took him under his wing
Taught him to fight and the discipline
But that lil hairy monkey was too wild

Working with the greats like ol’ Hal Roach
He starred in a few ol’ classic shorts
But that fame didn’t last, he ran for his life

Now the life of a bum the monkey felt grim
He lived down the alley by a boxing gym.
